About

Ever since I was little, I knew I would go to college. 14 years later, I was enrolled in my first semester at Washington State University. After my freshman year, I figured out what I wanted to do with my life. I switched from a biology major to an English major. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and I wanted to keep English in my life no matter what. Instead of being on the creative writing side of the major, like I had been doing, I decided to work on the more technical side of things.

Since then, I have had the opportunity to serve as a fiction and nonfiction editor for WSU’s undergraduate literary journal, LandEscapes. This gave me my first look at the publishing world, and encouraged me to pursue an internship with Cooper Publishing, our university’s publishing company. I will also be working as a “Life” section editor for the student newspaper, The Daily Evergreen, for a semester, and a copy editor for another. Together, these experiences will help round out my resume for the real world, where I am hoping to be an editor.
